MERIDIAN Irish Draught Update etc.!

Well, progress on the final stage of detailing out the resin master is slow. We’ve switched to the Arizona house and then life got fun and busy!

So here he is patiently waiting on my work table. He looked pretty great in clay stage but he actually has a lot of things I need to do to get him where I want him. Now I’m working in epoxy putty which I have to do in short sessions so that I don’t disturb a not-dry finished area while working on another!

I have an idea of the release plan on Meridian. I want to hand him off to Jenn Scott in May, who will be handling the scanning and 3D printing for a venti edition. If I get my act together, I hope to have both the 1/9th scale trad and 1/20th scale venti master sculpts on display at Breyerfest in Lexington, KY, in July. I should find out soon if I get into the Artisan Gallery there.

At Breyerfest I will hand off both masters to Red Shed Resins. I’ve been told that resins production will start in September. I will be selling the trad scale edition first.

Once I have a couple resin casts of the trad scale, they will be mailed off to England where Donna at Animal Artistry will make bone chinas and probably some earthenware bisques, over the next few years. (I still have 4 bone china Denderah Arabians on order, so this will not be a fast process.)

It sure takes a village to reproduce a horse sculpture, doesn’t it!!!

I don’t like to do sales of anything until I have pieces to ship. When they start arriving I’ll open up for sales. So you’ll have many months to save up for a Meridian later this fall!

But this summer (in Kentucky?) I may do a special offer to fundraise all these upfront costs a little. Something like: Prepay in full for a trad resin and receive a venti free!

Also: if I get into the Breyerfest Artisan Gallery I will get busy glazing some new chinas and ChromaPony custom Breyers to sell there!

Anyway thanks SO much for all your support and stay tuned to this space. Have a great springtime! 💗
